Winter Wine Weekend has proven to be one of our most popular events and a favorite among the winemakers as well as our guests and community. Multiple events provide a unique opportunity to connect with family, friends and others at Hotel Madison over this shared interest of wine at every level, from beginner to expert!

EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING | Saturday, February 22nd | $40 per person per session
One-hour long interactive sessions:

9:00 am | Creative Charcuterie & Wine Pairings All Day Long with Tassie Pippert, Certified Specialist of Wine and Certified Chef Emeritus

This class explores the use of the Charcuterie Board displays for every meal from breakfast to post-dinner desserts. Participants will enjoy butter boards, cream cheese boards, classic charcuterie, and dessert boards — all paired with wines.


11:00 am | From Soil to a Glass of Wine with Luca Paschina, Barboursville Winery

Enjoy hearing from the master winemaker as he explains the process of growing grapes to the making of award-winning wines. Taste Barboursville Merlot and Reserve Merlot as Luca explains the nuances of the wines and the differences between these two classic glasses of wine.


1:00 pm | Sparkling Wine Seminar with Lee Hartman, Bluestone Vineyards
Learn the key aspects and nuances of sparkling wine from one of our favorite experts and gain confidence in choosing among the variety in the market.
